Since 1996, Patricia Holohan & Co. has served its clients and the local community in the North East, Dublin and beyond, ensuring that the highest level of legal support is provided. In this time, the firm has been involved in high-level civil and criminal cases.
Originally located in Navan, the firm represented Navan and Meath’s everyday legal needs. We relocated to Drogheda in 2010 which has been our home ever since. In this time, the firm positioned itself as a leader in Criminal Law and Family & Child Law in the North East.
Nowadays, the firm is located in the Drogheda area and focuses heavily on the protection of human rights in all areas of law. We hope that we can assist you on your next legal journey.

Patricia Holohan is the Principal of the firm. She graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Civil Laws degree. She worked in industry for a period and went on to qualify as a solicitor in 1992. Patricia has over thirty years of experience as a practising solicitor working at the coalface of the legal profession, predominantly serving the legal needs of the community.
Patricia trained in a large corporate law firm in Dublin and gained further valuable experience with a mid-sized law firm in Cork, before establishing her own practice in Navan Co. Meath. She later re-located to the Drogheda area where the firm is now based.
While Patricia has valuable experience and continues to take instructions in many areas, the focus of the firm has shifted toward International Protection Law/ Refugee & Asylum law and Mental Health law in recent years.
Patricia was awarded diplomas from the Law Society in Child Law, Employment Law, Judicial Skills and Decision-Making, and a Certificate in Mental Health, Capacity and the Law.
In her free time, Patricia enjoys discussing the latest book at her book club, and a nice round of golf.

Ruairi has worked in Patricia Holohan & Company since 2019.
In his role as Legal Executive, Ruairi is very involved with clients from opening the file, to consulting with them and to supporting them through their legal journey. He has a good investigative mind and applies this also to researching information to assist the client. Ruairi also has a good administrative skills and is a great support to the firm.
Ruairi is currently studying Law in Trinity College Dublin and is actively involved with the Dublin University Law Society. Outside of college, Ruairi is a leading LGBTQ+ rights advocate and is active in canvassing for a more inclusive society. Ruairi is also a keen debater and stage performer.

We welcomed Richard to the firm in 2025 as a Legal Executive. Richard graduated with an LL. B. from Trinity College Dublin in 2024. Before joining the firm, he completed an internship in the Office of the Attorney General and volunteered as a legal researcher with Trinity’s Free Legal Aid Centre (FLAC).
Before pursuing a career in law, Richard worked as an award-winning journalist, focusing on international and humanitarian stories. This experience fostered a deep commitment to human rights and social justice, which continues to shape his legal interests today.
As a Legal Executive, Richard works directly with clients and is very supportive of their needs. His research and administrative skills are a great support to the overall running of the office.
